Honestly this man has explained it so well why I love kids but I dont and I wish not to have any... honestly I've my life being there for my mum, dad and siblings which is very fine but I need time for my self too.. I need to travel the world, I need to take good care of my self, I need to feel loved by someone without expecting to pay for it.. I need to heal from the wounds I experienced when growing up and all the trauma I went through with my mum's mental health and my dad not being around becoz of work.. I blame no one on this but honestly I don't wana have a kid... I want to live and love my self to the brim👌👌👌🧚‍♂️🙏

Been always looking for someone in Uganda who would talk about black tax it's one of something that's affecting us Africa from our great grand parents generation to our grand parents to our parents to us kids as well. So can't wait for that book, no kid should suffer because of taking care of their parents that's the only way to break down generational financies failures in our families

Kasuku and Kyamagero You have both lived up to your names. Thank you, Thank you Thank you for bringing up the topic of intentional parental abuse and neglect. It's an epidemic that people don't want to have a dialogue about in African society. Many black parents don't know whether they are coming or going .On one hand they keep going on about expecting their children to grow up into responsible, upstanding and INDEPENDENT adults. But the reality is they are the ones who need to follow their own counsel. In the end we have a society of seasoned narcissists residing in the bodies of matriarchs and patriarchs. They are so petty and feel so entitled to respect that they carry themselves like earthly gods who can do no wrong with extended family as enablers; even for things that are so intrinsically wrong. Speaking from experience, I am the black sheep of my family. I made a conscious choice to have children because I felt that my circumstances would not define my desire to be a parent because it would be on my term. However I find that my unconditional love for my children can only go so far. I have found myself having to help them navigate the transfered resentment from my family. They are now also targets of the unprovoked hatred from my family even though they have had minimal contact with them. My point is that the resentment becomes hereditary and the best solution is to go no-contact and cut all dealings or be prepared to keep firefighting unprovoked hated, simply because they are your children!

Mr.Kyamagero is right me I got my first born at nineteen and I had not done with my studies but I used to beat the girl because I considered her a cause of my school drop out. Until I went back to school and got a qualification and from there I embraced and welcomed in my life no wonder she was 7yrs. Now I two babies the same dad but their dad wasn't my destination and I will rather be alone than staying with immature adult banange.

Kyamagero is discussing a very important point as a moral consquentialist. However, Autonomy is under what we philosophically call categorical moral reasoning. Emmanuel Kant discusses this and makes a distinction between Autonomy vs Heteronomy. Our society is divided between the two and it is hard to define it. Anyway, thanks KUKU mugave munnange.

Hello, Kasuku thank you for this, and Kyamagero is exceptional as usual. My question is, do we have the plan to help be it therapy for such people given their mindset. Because the truth is we don't have the culture but we will not wait, let's just evolve, Kasuku should just start a practice already. To me, it's not the culture but who to be confined in and who is ready to listen.
