This is actually worse when you're in low elo, imagine trying to learn the game (ofc not compet) with no friends to play with and everyone will flame you and call you hurtful names. I really had a bad experience in the ph server where majority of girls usually play, it hurts to hear women flaming you and saying full curse words like "putang ina mong bobo ka" (and you're a woman also). All the flames are often 10x as bad as a normal tt you would receive from guys. That's why i feel blessed when I get a low ping on other servers, usually the players there are kind and they usually can differentiate an inting person from a beginner. 1 year of playing valo since act one but i really can't bring myself to play habitually but i would really want to learn the game in the future. I hope riot focus on preserving a good game environment, especially for those who just want to play the game. It has been taking a toll on me for a long time, I'm the only league player on our community who hasn't even tried to rank up in valo.

Tip for guys, not sure if this will work for girls but you're welcome to try: If a guy is being mean to you in game, start calling them cute. Like "you're cute when you're angwy." Or " you're too cute to be upset, don't cry cutie." Stuff like that really shuts them up fast. :)

4:19, something I've learned from my friends is that if you do mute the entire team then yes you'll have no comms for the whole game. But honestly I would rather play with no comms and loose RR, then hear them talk shit about you and breaking mentally/bring down mood. A player could loose RR but get it back in the next game, but if you constantly hear toxicity the whole game that could bring down your mood for the whole day or even longer, just because of that one game. I know its not the same for everyone but I know that this is one of the main reasons why girls don't use comms in matches.

Yeah I agree. When I play with a friend we sometimes like to argue back and make fun of that toxic person in party speak so it's not that bad but when I solo queue I instantly mute them. Toxic people result in me getting sad and tilted and then I play worse. So i just mute them, finish the game and gg go next

You can still ping stuff and use the ingame voice lines so if you don't want to comm and your teammates are toxic because of that it's their problem. I would generally mute any toxicity because you can definitely win a game without comms especially when the comms are toxic and not informative

Seek help, get treatment, then come back when you're mentally stable enough to not break down after an insult gets thrown your way. If I have to mute people so I dont feel like shit, I just wont play. It's ranked, if you're prioritizing your feelings over rank, then sign the FUCK off. Not sure how people can be okay with muting and losing, is it because you can just "get it back" the next match? You've now wasted over an hour of your time in two matches only to remain the same rank and bring down your MMR. Simple way to deal with them- 1. Wait for 2 rounds and see if their coms are good,they are doing good or just simply talking shit. 2. Then take revenge by telling some words to them, and then mute them.(it helps) 3. Don't buy them and heal them(why waste those on them). 4. Must report them and tell others to do the same. 5. If it doesn't make you feel better then just before the game ends in all chat type__(their name) __(ur favourite c/f word) this way they will read ur message until their next match but can't give you their reply.

I think the fact that you're aware and actually feel bad already puts you miles above guys like that dude in the video. (+frustration can often take over,especially when you do well but can't do ALL the work for the team. just gotta keep in mind that the ones doing bad might still be trying their best and they're just not quite there yet.) I've been on both sides (but when I get frustrated I never talk to them. Im a female, and ive been surrounded by gaming my whole ife bc of my big brother and some very close cousins who have always included me in their games and reunions; so im really fond of gaming and i have played a fair amount of games, specially solo shooters. However i have really bad social anxiety, and naturally, these gaming communities of cooperative plays with toxic environments mess the whole play for me. I cant seem to relax any second during the play, and that only makes my hands sweaty, shaky and stiff. Its uncomfortable to play and I get really nervous thinking of being carried by the team, adding up the mean, toxic comments and salty banter, I just become a whole mess during my play, and it worsens with each mean remark. I ended up quiting cooperative games. Valorant was a really bad experience and it made me hate gaming for a while. Eventually i got back into it bc, again, my brother integrated me into his cooperative plays w our cousins and they were pretty enjoyable and healthy plays. Also, taking into consideration that going from playing in a console controller to pc controls in a new cooperative shooter, to start pc gaming, its not... lets say the smartest decision, but i never thought that the enviornment would be THAT toxic. Specially for women. Never touching valorant again until i become familiar with the controls and have controlled my SA any better. Seeing kyedae play like this and only muting or reporting people, makes me feel like someday ill eventually be able to play Valorant while being composed.
