Embarrassingly, I didn't know anything about Kiev before the Invasion. Now, I sit with my Ukraine hat, shirts, key chains made from russian tanks, army patches and watches etc. This is fragile the beauty of Ukraine. There's only one, and it's the whole package folks : Loving parents, real-time hero's. The most beautiful/resilient/sunshine-y women on the planet.. Where Ukraine goes folks, so go we all literally. Russophobia is a mental disease who begun under British Empire the Russian Empire became a threat the Brits dominance as the Crimean war showed in Britain took France and Ottoman Empire. Ukrainian writer poet Taras Shevckenko was a victim of Russia but his nationalist message was not violent It is in 1921 Dmtroy Dontsov published an ideological book named Democrazia that was not even anti bolchevik bur only violently anti Russian, nd even it was said that Ukrainian should dominate the world This ideology has been used by the ultra, nationalists, antisemites, supremacists those like Stepan Bandera who collaborated with the nazis an to the extermination of jews by bullets. It is sill today used by modern neo fascists in Ukraine Russia has never made any genocide in Ukraine and it was the Ukrainian kosaks who required the assistance of Russian Empire against the Polo-lituanian

The vibrancy in Kyiv’s classical music scene also really needs to be applauded! I performed there in 2023, and never have I seen a classical music community with such drive and such purpose, in the West it just feels more and more like a corpse being puppeted around (not to mention the huge prevalence of russian repertoire) so it was incredibly inspiring to see! The future of arts and culture is Ukrainian 🇺🇦

I am a foreigner that has been living in Kyiv a long time. Ukraine is plagued by stupid stereotypes. I love Kyiv and in many people’s view it was on an inspired path and was set to become “the next Berlin”. Things were about to boom here (before the pandemic) and then literally, it was BOOM ! This is what the world will lose out on if Ukraine is taken over by Russia. This city of Kyiv is a gift to the world. As is all of Ukraine. Masha’s video captures the magic of this city. Ukraine deserves a way better conversation in the world. This video is a step in that direction. I love this video, and this series. Keep going Masha !!!

Are you not ashamed to write such things against the background of publicly available figures on the sale of Ukrainian land, against the background of the looting of Ukraine, against the background of statements by Western politicians that the value of Ukraine lies only in the fact that its resources do not go to Russia and China (those same resources, note that no one except these very Western politicians, did not touch it).Against the background of the fact that Ukraine occupies a leading position in the world in corruption, prostitution, drug addiction and trafficking in all these, including weapons and surrogate children.Against the background of how valuables are desecrated and exported from lavras and temples. And countless experiments are being conducted on the population of Ukraine.AREN'T YOU ASHAMED OF YOURSELF?!!!

Funny, I was there in 2019 too and then again in 2021. I grew so fond of this city and regret I didn't travel there sooner. Nice people, cheap transportation and delicious Ukrainian dishes. And the parks were great. Some places were nice and quiet you just forgot that you are still in a big city i.e. in the Botanical garden not far from Vydubychi monastery. The view on the river was awesome. Being so reminiscent about Kyiv I really miss it. It's been just for three years but due to the war it feels like an eternity.

I’m really looking forward to the next episode in Kharkiv - A city and area where the people are an inspiration!
