I have 4 kids.. and the youngest is 16.. i don’t restrict them in having relationships as that is common here in US.. i just remind them to give school a priority and they know what is right and wrong.. i also make friends with their bfs in that way, i can talk to the guys too..guidance is the key.. being strict will not work, they will keep secrets and worst become rebellious..and thank you Lord, the 2 girls are now nurses and the eldest a boy is a social worker.. the HS, she is just having fun without giving seriousness to relationship with the opposite sex..and until now, she still has no bf even though she had already asked our permission if she can have a boyfriend.

shes 16 going on 17, and your not sure if the guy is interested on boyfriend and girlfriend with her, the more you restrict her the more she will hide things away from you, correct she needs to focus on her school and at the same time shes’s a teenager with hormones, all you need to do is to continue support her with less restrictive, I’m sure she learned a lesson from her mother who became unwed mother at the early age….

most parents let their children at age 16 date as long as they are around the parents only and having a date for school and prom dance. but some parents say no way to their children and sometimes those the children can end up sneaking behind your backs by seeing and being with each other in school or at a friend's house and their job. just saying... now In case, if the boy doesn't listen to Kyla, when she tells him that her parents say No- she cannot date it. if he keeps on at her trying to be in control that will show you all he has no respect for her or her parents rules. if he keeps on pressure kyla to be with him then take the next step that you all should go to his parents just to stop him with his disrespectful not getting it behavior. just saying.
