Man, nine club has really helped me get through some bad times. My wife has had some crazy surgeries and been in and out of the hospital. These episodes helped me get through it. ALWAYS!! When i go into an episode not knowing who the guest is, the episode turns out to be FANTASTIC. Seems like a really down to earth dude, glad you guys had him on. Him recounting his car accident was HEAVY, but I'm glad he shared all that and its another reason this show is great, providing the platform for that kind of real life vulnerability, and honesty. I fell like skaters need to hear his story. Loved it all, and BRO, Kyle is hilarious! That always helps.

I was extremely lucky to work at the Chesapeake Skate park from '96-'97. I remember seeing a small, padded up dude doing early grab everything all over the ramps back in '96. Of course it was Kyle. I soon met his family, all super cool (the 'K' brothers) and before the end of the summer, they were dropping him off at the park for the whole day. Kyle would skate all day, and then I would drive him home after I closed the park. Driving home involved no AC in my little truck. Sometimes we would get to his house, and then skate in his garage on a little quarter pipe he had (this was before the backyard mini ramp). It was apparent Kyle was going to go somewhere with his skating; he learned so fast. Every summer day, he would learn at least 3 new tricks. My only claim to fame was I learned blunt to fakie before he did. Of course, a few months after that, he was doing blunt shifty's to fakie and blunt one foots. After watching this episode I feel even luckier to have hung out with Kyle before he got 'pro'. He was a little skate rat kid, super cool, super funny, and super great at skating. Good job Kyle.

I also remember John, Kyle's friend in the car. When I heard about the accident I wasn't hanging with Kyle but he was still the talk around the park. John had a sweet, yellow VW bus, he also did really nice 360 nollie shove it to tail on the spine. He was just another unique addition to the chesapeake skatepark crew.

Kyle is by far one of the best sateboarders I got to know through woodward years ago. watching him skate the bowl and mini ramp at the playground was insane. he just effortlessly destroyed everything in front of him. got to spend some time with him and bobby worrest shooting pool at the Millheim hotel bar (kyle wasn't drinking at the time but bobby and i smashed some whiskeys) one of the funniest and nicest dudes i got to hang out with.

The doctor for purposefully not giving him pain meds, the officer for convincing the doctor to perform malpractice and intimidation, and both for giving him slight ptsd and ending his skate career

I remember watching a 411 back in the days. It probably was issue 34. First video I ever bought. There was a section about Tampa and Kyle had, I guess, one trick in it. A fs boardslide (don't really know how this trick is called) body varial to bs boardslide. Looked awesome. First time I've ever seen this trick. Since then I never heard of him again and always wondered what might have happened to him. Cause he was young and as you could tell, really talented. And now I see this! Thanx for having him. Really naturally funny and great personality. Greets from Germany ;)

Question you guys had about people having board sponsors to enter the Tampa AM and no they don't. They just need to submit about a minutes worth of street clips and pay a fee. I know this since I film one of the guys that enters each year. I think part of it as well is that he's local and I know a lot of the local heads that enter, so that may have something to do with it as well.
