Cartman was trying to rip on him to distract him from the downer moment, get mad at him and deflect the moment. @@gideonmele1556 Cartman thrives off ripping on people, especially Kyle, and them getting mad and fighting back. Like the episode where Kyle's family moves to SanFran and Stan tells that, "you know without Kyle to rip on you're going to start to miss him." Cartman doesn't believe him and rips on Butters instead who just agrees with whatever he said which frustrates him. He even goes to great lengths to save Kyle and his family because he needs him.

2034: South Park 14th movie. I honestly think you should of not taken the money and maybe you should of ended the series in the next season. Oh well, And least it wasn’t Disney who was paying you

So Cartman does have a heart when he actually looked sad for Kyle before picking on him then walked away when Kyle didn't talk back

I wanted to play sports and was quite an athlete when I was in elementary. Boi can I relate when I maxed out at 5feet. Had to come to terms that I have to give up my dreams. Shits hard man. Those days were hard for me especially looking back at my young self

At 1:54, I'm like: "Jesus Cartman, why do you have to be such a racist asshole to Kyle?! If anything, you suck at being a good friend Dude." 😠👎 Who says that Jews can't play basketball anyway? That Denver Nuggets Coach is completely ignorant, and I feel bad for Kyle already. You should NEVER Give Up on your dreams Kyle! You hear me Man! You're A Star! 🏀⭐

Those kids were taller than Kyle and more athletic than him. Kyle went through surgery for all the wrong reasons. He thought getting the surgery will make him a better basketball player. The doctor failed to tell him that the surgery was meant only for cosmetic.
