Oh wow I LOVE going back to your older videos, this pertains to TODAY especially when you talk about the news on TV. You inspire me and help me stay on the positive path in a crazy world that I could paint a scary monster picture about, and sometimes do, but less and less every day, because I listen to less and less fear porn, but more and more uplifting talks like this, THEN meditate. Kyle....your comediec way of explaining how people allow themselves to stay stuck in human suffering, and how they can change that if they chose to, is simply amazing. With every year - there will be a new teacher, with every channel, we will hear a different interpretation. There are A LOT of people getting IT from the way you share IT! I read some of the comments below - both neg and positive - for some people you may not be the right channel and it's not their time - but I just booked my ticket and I am looking forward to seeing you in May, my friend. We as a human collective have gone so far from learning by feeling ( intuition) and experience. Modern science is STILL running around in circles trying to explain (possibly to make money off of, idk) disease that ancient "primitive" people never even experienced because they listened to their bodies and remembered how foods and herbs affected them. Intuition is a lovely thing that I'm glad people are beginning to talk seriously about.

Hey Kyle - this is a happy surprise. A facebook friend (who I've never met) shared this video. I recognized your name. About 10 years ago you took the stage at Daniel Webster College when I was a freshman in college. I think I even bought one of your CDs that night. I don't think I've thought about you since. Yeah, I do that.. but the thoughts are not as bad as the actual physical feeling of the mood.. but I try to have equanimity with that too. I would not call it 'love' tho

Imagine an awful little kid.. a tantrum throwing two year old, a moody preteen. Inherently unpleasant/negative? Yep. But especially if that terrible kid is yours, you still love them (I hope.. haha.) Anyway, when my terrible two year old is throwing a tantrum because I put his juice in the wrong color cup, I don't shove him out of the room and ignore him.. that's no solution. Besides that, he'd only get louder. Instead, I show compassion because I know he's probably tired and and he's physiologically incapable of clearly expressing his exact feelings. So I empathize and snuggle him and put him to bed. I love him. It's the same with unwanted thoughts. I discovered a great guided meditation by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar callled "transforming emotions" (It's super short, 15 mins, and well worth checking out.) At the time I found it, I was in the first week or so clean after a number of years as an addict. For me, the thoughts I was fighting werre the intense cravings to use. The harder I fought, the stronger they'd get, until all consuming and would usually lead to my relapse. But by loving these thoughts, crazy as it sounded, I was able to let them go much easier.. Or, I should say, they left on their own accord. When I started getting that intense urge to use, instead of thinking "oh no! shit... i don't want to mess up but... ahhhh!! i can't fight it..." I would remind myself "I'm having a craving. It's totally okay and to be expected. It doesn;t mean I'm about to fail, it's part of the process of staying sober." Feeling loving towards myself and the thought like they were little kids. And it worked amazingly. Anyway, sorry for the novel in response. Hope that helped some!
