Seems to me like the brake fluid overheated and boiled on Larson. He had brakes before the turn as you can see him lock up the rears, then suddenly he doesn't, then reports that he has brakes after the crash. Brake fluid boils quickly under high pressure and introduces compressible vapor into the brake lines, causing the brakes to fail temporarily. Looks like Larson's team reported confusion about whether or not the brake cooling system was operable before the crash. Either it was broken or somebody forgot to turn it on. Either way, this is a scary crash and NASCAR should be taking measures to ensure that brake cooling systems are running on these cars at all times on road courses. Yet another safety issue with this next gen car.

Definitely tear locked up for just a second but if the rear was locked up the front should of too, all four where spinning until after the hit then they lock up after getting in the grass, idk what happened but I doubt driver error not at that speed, way to fast that’s way beyond over shooting a corner…glad they both okay and I’m glad that race is over it was crazy

They reported on nascar raceday that there was no parts falure on larsons car. That it was driver error.

Did Tyler Reddick not have a camera facing the front? That would be an awesome shot of the wreck. Glad both are okay. I believe Larson had a mechanical issue. That was not driver error.
