Mr. Claypool. I had purchased two tickets for my son and I to see Primus play a farewell to kings tour in Detroit. It would’ve been the fourth tour I brought my son to see you guys. Unfortunately due to covid restrictions and being Canadian I had to just gave away our tickets. I’m glad your son told you to sing the Rush songs as you naturally sound. I’m jealous of the people that had the opportunity to watch you perform the kings album. Lar, herb and you are all amazing musicians. Thanks for being such great people

@mallowmarkerdon81442 жыл бұрын
He isn’t very specific, he just says he’s working on an animated project with Sean. No word on the drummer and keyboardist, the delirium drummer has worked with Les for years I don’t see that changing. I’m worried about the keyboard player, if you look at his past stuff he has a big part in that stuff, but in the delirium I don’t think he’s got a lot of creative input. Idk it’s just a hunch, I know the delirium almost broke up back in 2019, so we may never see another delirium record.

There's this adage about not meeting people who you might have a big appreciation of (heroes is a really weird concept from my viewpoint), but I'd gladly make an exception to exchange a few words with Mister Claypool, even if I probably wouldn't know what to say to him just like him with Peter Gabriel. IRL, I'd certainly just be able to give him a big hug, and that will make my day, tho. There's something about him I can't pinpoint that is telling me he's never faking anything, just he's himself and DGAF about delivering what people want to hear from him. And his Dukes of Stratosphear reference is making me realize he wasn't just influenced by Pink Floyd and King Crimson on his work with Sean Lennon. His opinion on Bernie Worrell really got me about the essence and experience of human people, not only the musician side. Les is really more. I also really appreciate how he's working on his voice and taking advices from his son, many people (even Primus fans) are giving crap to Les about his singing abilities while they don't realize how much of an awesome vocalist (not singer as a standard acceptance of the word) he is. Les has somewhat the same kind of curse Jimi Hendrix had, just because you're a virtuoso on your musical instrument, it shouldn't undermine how much dedication you're putting on expressing your voice, and how you're dealing with its perks, fails and quirks to get it like you intend to do. That Mel Blanc analogy is really spot-on, I'd love to hear Les dubbing a Bugs Bunny or, even better, a Screwy Squirrel cartoon. This is the first time I watch one of the interviews you're doing, Kyle. But I'm amazed about how specific you're focused on things that aren't well known about Les, especially the covers of other artists or bands. Looks like I've just struck gold on interviewers who know how to properly do their job, a bit like Soft White Underbelly YT channel that let people really expressing themselves instead of constantly cutting them off to make the interview about themselves and not the person they're interviewing. Keep up the good work! Ciao.

Two things; The Miscellaneous Debris cover of "Have a Cigar" is one of my desert island tracks. "Delicate Tendrils" is a mfmasterpiece. What is the characters name in Tendrils? He's real AF. I went to high school with him. He corroded his liver, and several other vital organs, though. I saw Primus, with Helmet, at The Charlotte Hornets Practice Facility, on mushrooms, for one of my several Bachelor Parties. It was a wild night. The little people roaming the venue caused me to go hide in the nose bleed section and trance out on the glorious suckage. One of my top three concert trips.
