Kirk Cousins is a guy who has just got better consistently every single year. Solid character off the field. Almost always available as far as not being hurt other than last year. I’d be surprised if he didn’t win a Super Bowl before it’s all said and done. Cousins was having his best year of his career before he got hurt last year. He beat the 49ers last year directly from making plays in critical moments. Also keep in mind the year before, he was the most sacked quarterback in the league in 2022, and he was getting hit a lot in 2023 before he got hurt, go figure. I’d love to see what he can do with a solid run game and good protection, and I think he has it in Atlanta, he’s done well when he’s had it in the past too.

I’ve never understood the problem with the team name Redskins. First of all, I’ve never even heard of a racial slur for the natives other than Indian which is more out of ignorance than of malice. I’ve definitely heard virtually every racial slur in the book, and I cannot recall a single one referring to the natives. Secondly, when I hear Redskin, I think of the hogs. Russ Grimm, Mark May, Mark Schlereth, John Riggins, Joe Theisman, Daryl Green, Doug Williams. I think of a bunch of tough guys who won championships. Third, I’ve never in my life met anyone who has held any sort of disdain for the natives. I think the nation as a whole through cinema and literature has been educated thoroughly about how cruel the U.S. was to the natives, and the U.S. respects just how tough the natives were/are. Fourth, I could not think of a greater honor than to associate a group of people as a tribe of warriors who will fight as a unit to victory. The organization composed a song that the entire fan base of a diverse background sings in unison that literally says “Hail to the Redskins” And from that team name, the greatest way we can “respect” the natives is to scrub them from their image and likeness from the NFL. That’s an idea only a politician can think of. I really love how liberal white people who live in gated, HOA-governed communities around other white people who will call the police on the first sight of someone who doesn’t look like them, and then tell them from the other side of their mouth that they’re victims of racism. It’s astounding. The Cleveland Indians were racist as hell though. From the caricature, to the team name. Native Americans are not Indian by definition.

That is the goal. Kirk said he wanted to be a one team QB. After it didn't work out in Washington, he wanted to be a two team QB. But when you don't feel valued (1-2 year contracts are management speak for we like you, but don't love you), I can understand why he would say that. The Vikings would only do a two year contract.
