Kyle, I saw your Hallelujah performance and it motivated me to watch other versions, including Lenord's in London with a chorus to back him up. Kyle, you know how the original version of a song is hardly ever improved upon by other artists no matter how good they are? The original version is just in your head as the gold standard. Your Hallelujah IS unsurpassed by anybody I've listened to and it is the ONLY version that genuinely satisfies my thirst to hear that song done perfectly and with soul stirring power. You suddenly OWN that song. BTWay........David's conduct in reaction to your performance, apart from his banging the buzzer, was in no way up to the emotional energy that was soaring in the building. He said..."you sang with passion" on stage and then, seated, he said "well done." That was definitively inadequate, even inarticulate, vis a vis the energy in the theater.....my German Shepherd could have done better. When the camera went to Simon, he was able to articulate some of that love the audience (and Simon himself) was feeling for you You won very big that night...both in your performance and, with an innocent dignity, in settling a score (so to speak) with a guy who effectively abused a 12 yr old kid. Using his own words........"WELL DONE!".
