After an exhausting 48 hour travel day, we have finally made it to the Philippines!! The Philippines have been on our bucket list for SO long and we are so excited to be here. Welcome! quick tip, most Filipino dishes are eaten with spoon and fork used in tandem. You basically combine a bit of the protein/vegetable with the rice on the spoon. Also, always bring bottled water / drinks or order it when you're eating outside, just to keep your tummies happy. the tap water has an after taste most people don't really like. enjoy!

Made a great choice trying out a local carenderia, which is basically a mom-and-pop canteen operation. Please try using your utensils the Filipino way, i.e., using your SPOON (instead of the fork) to scoop up rice and viand. Filipinos use the fork only to push food onto the spoon, or jab the fork into meat and vegetables. Then also please try out the silog meals in more upscale restos for better quality meats. Enjoy!

Filipinos love their food sweet. Love that you’re doing things the local way eg. eating at a cafeteria style resto and taking public transportation. It’s not as glamorous but you’re experiencing the real Filipino life and saving a lot of money in the process. Have fun in the Philippines!
