Yeah, the 1/2 pvc last all season, but since the ground was uneven, they kinda warped to one side. I don't think they would be ok for a second season. Good idea to make them ridgid and go for 3/4. The best, in my opinion, would be to go metal of something... but so much more expensive ... thank you for the comment. Let me know if you ever post a video on KZbin of your build.

This said, the tarp is still in perfect shape, it would make another season easily, maybe even more! And it's amazingly powerful to warm the pool, best pool warmer I even had and free energy.

Can I buy a bracket instead of making it out of wood? What are they called

@@TheChug where did you purchase the tarp? What size? And how thick (mil)? Another question is how did you figure out where to put your holes on the mounting plate so they fold nice ? Am purchasing all the material this week . I plan on putting it together next , I will share my experience . Thank you

Is it the pipes that have sort of collapsed causing it to sink nearer the pool? What were they made of? I’m in the UK and I don’t know what plastic pipe you used as no voice over instructions

Maybe if you put a metal bar inside of pvc tube it will become more stable and rigid ?
@TheChug Жыл бұрын
Probably yes. Good idea.

I am about to embark on the project. A few questions: - did you have any issue with the film where it was touching the pvc pipping? I read pvc would degrade the film within months - a coat of paint or tape would help so I may tape my tubing - do you think fibreglass tent poles would work? Or the plastic film will be too heavy?

Used it two sunmers without issues with the film. I'm sure it would still make a few more. Really don't know about the fiberglass poles... guess it could work...
