I've thought about this comparison as well but at the same time that get paid with experience and a chance to make it to the professional level and then get paid. Yeah but at the same time some might not want to continue and some might not be able to go so in my opinion yeah student athletes should get paid I think. It's not as similar to slavery but it's pretty much free labor because it is the players that make the team while the school makes the money.

What’s so hilarious in a bit of a morbid sorta way about Cartman is, when he’s being offensive like this, he’s not actually trying to be malicious or anything, he’s just drawing conclusions based on what he sees, but he always draws the worst conclusions possible that nobody else is thinking.
@portalmanHUN6 ай бұрын
Is he wrong though?
@teleportedbreadfor3days6 ай бұрын
@@portalmanHUNCA, coaches are actually punished and fired for treating their players with decency, whether it’s giving them money at all, paying for trips to see sick loved ones or just buying them lunch. Sometimes they’re abused when they’re not treated like money-making assets. In fact, the term ‘student athletes’, was made up by a coach or somebody decades ago (might’ve been the 60s or around that) who wanted to use this bs term he made up so he wouldn’t have to pay his students, who, these days, only get to play college basketball by being made to take ‘paper classes’ and Swahili lessons so they’ll quickly meet the minimum requirements for tryouts and barely enough time to study regular classes and eat.
