The use of Anakin's Dark Deeds, Anakin's "I hate you", and Obi-Wan's "You were my brother" made this so powerful. Very nice job from the SC-38 guys incorporating that kind of emotion into this reimagining.

I love this scene bc we the viewers witnessed the precipice of revenge. Vader’s aggression as he swings his saber with great vengeance is a reminder of Ben’s transgression on Mustafar. Can’t blame him really- right. Left on a planet to die with 3/4 of your body amputated and 4th degree burns on 100% of your body. Just saying…

I just saw on your IG that you will be at the SWCA and I really felt joy, I really think you deserve not only this celebration, but all of them... You are a real fan of Star Wars and your channel here and everyone is really like that . I always watch your reaction videos or playing, and with the series I have also learned a lot thanks to your comments. Kyle you deserve millions of followers. Only in YT I see two always faithful to ST, theory and you. I will look forward to your videos of the SWCA, enjoy it and a big greeting from Chile.

Awesome work by SC-38 - really enjoyed that re-edit/reimagining! As for Shamook (the handle of the deepfake guy from KZbin), someone from the Lucasfilm Fett production clarified that there was an entire team working over the previous year to improve Lola (the deepfake facial program at ILM), implying that it's a bit unfair to credit a single individual (although one can only imagine he played a big role in this).
@stephaniez98112 жыл бұрын
I was going to address this too everyone gives credit to Shamook but when he did that deepfake the technology Lola used was a year old. By the time Shamook got a hold of it, he had the advantage of a year of tech improvements and advancements since Dec of 2019, which is when they filmed the finale. BOBF takes this further……now the tech is two years from what they did in the finale so of course big improvements in what we see in the final cut.

The more I look at this the more I think that Luke was trying to shoot Vader for killing Kenobi. I don't think he was even registering the storm troopers shooting at him until Han told him to blast the door
@jchusky772 жыл бұрын
I like how you said they added Vader hearing Kenobi too. Maybe thats how Vader knew that Luke (or just the pilot for Red 5 since Vader doesnt know) was force senstive because he knows Kenobi is talking to him, since he can hear it as well!

When Vader went out to fight the rebels at Yavin IV he didn't know that he was leaving the Death Star for the last time. It's not as fun an explanation, but I find it more likely that he took Obi-Wan's lightsaber to his quarters, left it there, and it was destroyed when the Death Star blew up.

In the 2002 movie Reign of Fire, starring Matthew McConaughey & Christian Bale their world was devastated by Dragon attacks and humans had to live out their lives hiding in fear of being devoured. There is a scene where Bale & Gerrard Butler entertain the children of their camp by putting on a two man skit of the Empire Strikes Back "I am your father scene." I believe you are so accurate in your assessment of how these films will be apart of human lore and legend for as long as humans exist.

I loved this reimagining so much that I want a separate version of ANH with this scene in it. Its very well choreographed and made. the music is great. And I loved that they stitched Alec Guinness' face onto the actor playing Ben. Also Im sure that isnt a deepfake. Im pretty sure at least that its just the scenes from ANH stitched onto the face. and cropped/rotoscoped around

Nice. There's still a couple of things I'd tweak. Like the mention of Anakin needs to go. Also, the way they had Vader walk in the beginning is too Kylo Ren. Vader is always outwardly calm, so I don't think that hurried walk fits well. Otherwise, it's pretty damn neat.

Years later it’s still a great reimagining of an otherwise average duel. Despite the bad choreography in some places I prefer the original just because of the emphasis on the characters themselves rather than their skill with a lightsaber. Naturally that’s just how it is with each trilogy having a different focus for Duels. The Originals being focused on emotion, Prequels on epic dance routines, and the Sequels did a bit of both. Regardless each one offers something new and I enjoy that aspect of them.
