The looping only happening because when you press ctrl+enter it will repeat the entire scene again and again. The question is How to do looping of a single object in the timeline while the rest of the objects are continue in motion.

where is the pen tool? I am new to animate. I cant find it.

If you are using a newer version of Animate then--by default--the pen tool will be hidden along with a bunch of other tools. This is because the 'Basic' workspace will be used by default. Either switch workspaces (the workspace button is at the top-right, use something like 'Essentials'), or click the three dots on the tools panel and drag and drop the missing tools to the tools panel (if you do this then save your changes as a new workspace.)
