Alternate interpretation could mean: that somebody chose to cut another person out of their life, most likely romantically, who wasn’t a good fit (the emperor always gives me “too much” alpha male vibes and I’m not a huge fan of it when seeing it for someone else) and that decision will turn into a different ideal of what they want out of life and out of a partner. Justice coming in with the five of pentacles at the end, could possibly mean that the person who walked away will still be getting justice and will not be left out in the cold just because they didn’t settle for someone/something that wasn’t a good fit.
