As an elementary librarian I say THANK YOU for utilizing the library. You will be amazed at how much more excited the students will be when they get free choices in what they read. One thing I really like is if the teacher shoots me an e-mail the day before they come in and tell me something their kids are struggling with so that I can incorporate that particular skill or subject matter in the lesson. The data shows that classes who utilize the library (and the librarian!) on a consistent basis score higher on standardized testing and increase reading levels faster than those that do not.

Awesome classroom. I only noticed male superheroes. There are some super cool female superheroes as well or even Jedi. It is important to include some female superheroes as well so that the classroom is focused on both the girls and the boys. Looking forward to more videos with great teaching ideas.

cindybin2001 haha you obviously live under a rock because you are an outdated sexist. it's 2017, saying ASS isn't "unladylike". having tattoos doesn't make you a bad person. you are the one setting a bad example for children saying they have to be perfect and can't have an independance. girls should know that they can be kick-ass too. and you are saying if a woman has a tattoo only "bad" men will be attracted to her. you fithy sexist

cindybin2001 It doesn't matter what he looks like and what his girlfriend does, people have life's outside of religion. Besides I'm currently a student and I've had experience with many different teachers ,the best types of teachers act like him and make learning fun and interesting. And you may not think I'm right but most teachers drink coffee, and a lot of them have tattoos though you may not see the tattoos doesn't mean they don't have them. You have the right to have your own opinion and beliefs but when your bashing someone from being themselves you shouldn't say it

cindybin2001 There's 11 year olds drinking coffee!! He's an actual grown man. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's wrong . Share your opinion in a nicer way please.

cindybin2001 Don't respond if your done. No one cares about your opinion if you haven't noticed. Not everyone is Mormon so we don't need your input in what's right and wrong. People will be themselves and if they want to have tattoos they can, if they want to drink coffee than can. Please take your hate somewhere else please thank you ❤️ Oh and BTW if your commenting over and over about your kids, then stop spreading hate and go be a mother. You won't want your kids with a mother like that 😉😘

cindybin2001 his tattoos and his ability to be a good teacher have literally nothing to do with each other. As for using his real name.. I don't think he needs your "scolding". I'm sure he knows how to be safe on the internet considering he is a grown man lol. You shouldn't go judging someone on there appearance because I'm sure he is a great teacher.
@vero78527 жыл бұрын
cindybin2001.... first of all no it doesn't bother me that he and his wife have tattoos. Who cares?!? That doesn't take away from his ability to teach!!! And as for my name...... it's none of your business if I use my real name or not. If this is what I want to be known as then that's my prerogative! Maybe you've received many death threats because of all your negative comments and your awful criticism!!! Stop being so damn judgmental and negative!!! Go spew your negativity elsewhere!!! We're here to encourage each other and build each other up!!! Not to criticize!!!! So go scratch!!!!

STOP COMMENTING ON EVERYONE'S COMMENTS.
@Sotehuti6 жыл бұрын
cindybin2001 they probably have some type of way to protect themselves. Also I don't know if these threats are real, but if they are, you should report them and then stop commenting on "pot smokers". Tattoos are fine as long as they do not bother people too much. You can't please everyone body. Piercings, honestly lady. If you wear earrings then you have piercings. Alcohol can be helped, you don't need to put people down because of something they might need help on. Profanity is going to happen anyway, I don't care if your life depended on it, people are going to curse. And people don't 'accuse' you of doing anything, they are only speaking the truth. You can't really judge a person because they drink, not until you know why they did it. Somebody could have found out their boyfriend or girlfriend cheated on them, and they didn't know what to do. They turned to drinking because they had no one to rely on except their then boyfriend/girlfriend. Like they say 'stuff happens'. Out of respect for your no profanities rule, I said that without saying a curse word. Please continue on with your life happy, but know that some things can't be judged until the reason becomes known. Respect people and their decisions. Thank you😁😁😁😁

cindybin2001 Nobody "scolded" this man based solely on his tattoos based off the fact that we are all (with the exception of you, apparently) mature enough to recognize that they don't effect one's level of teaching. We were also taught how to mind our own business and how to respect one another - something this incredible teacher will surely implement within his classroom - tatted or not! Here's a suggestion, stop being such an ASS!
@jessicamironyuk87857 жыл бұрын
chill wth. Tattoos don't automatically make someone a bad person? Kids lose interest in things pretty quick. Like maybe one day theyd think "wow I wanna have tattoos just like my teacher" and the next day they might decide against it.
@rachelh9887 жыл бұрын
@cindybin2001 - thanks for a good chuckle! I don't know where the convo started about tattoos (?) but I think his tattoos are cool and it's perfectly fine for teachers to have tattoos, piercings, body mods etc. in 2017 as it's the content of their character and quality of their teaching that are important. About the kick-ass comment... here are some UrbanDic definitions of kick-ass: 'if something's kick ass, its really cool. Great! As in it kicks the ass of all else' and 'something that's really incredibly awesome'. Tbh, I think girls (just like boys) are really incredibly awesome, which is why it would be great to have one or two female superheroes representing that. I'm guessing that you're offended by the word 'ass' - I'm also guessing that you've never taught teenagers :'D
@kendallringo44887 жыл бұрын
not everyone has the same opinion as you! all parents have different rules about having tattoos and piercings. and just because someone has them doesn't mean that they won't attract great people. I am a straight A student but still have many piercings. and my parents encourage me to get tattoos when i am of age because they want me to feel comfortable expressing myself. didn't anyone ever tell you that if you don't have something nice to say then don't say it at all? jeez i can only imagine the type of people that raised you.

My first year in kindergarten there was a boy in there for 20 mins!! I knocked on the door a few times to see if he was okay. Then I realized he spent 10 of those minutes playing a puzzle!!! I did have a question for you, though, as a student-teacher: how do you begin differentiating groups at the beginning of the year? Do you begin with random assignment, do you look at test scores and go from there, do you start out with all more or less the same work and then see who needs a challenge and who needs support, etc.?
