ive always wondered what that occasional bass "thumping" noise was whenever Jimmy is around. turns out that it IS Jimmy? i googled "turkey tom thumping noise" and apparently its called "spitting" or "drumming" (not sure which is which) and they do it when they display like that. absolutely neat creatures. Edit: it's spitting and i only just noticed the bass "vwwoooooop" of drumming they do right after it!!

I use to have guineas, but they were too loud for our area so had to rehome them. And I thought surely no other fowl could be as loud and annoying as them.
