Outscored Messi per game the last 5 years? Yes. More chances created than Messi all competitions the last 5 years? Yes. More goals+assists than Messi AND Haaland the past 5 years? Yes. Outplayed Messi in the WC in Qatar? Yes. Best player in French League every season the past 5 years? Yes. UCL Final before age 24? Yes. Mbappe has ALL the tools to be GOAT material. But sports is subjective. I don't think Messi, even in his prime, is as good as Mbappe is right now. This dude is literally unstoppable. He is the only footballer in the world who is consistently man-marked because he's just that dangerous. But you have your opinions, i have mine. Mbappe carried Messi the past 2 years. Literally ran PSGs attack while Messi was stuggling with a pathetic 5 goals in a single season in a farmers league. Outside of Barcelona, Messi's number are nowhere near they are for Barcelona. He's only dominant on Barcelona on teams full of legends. With PSG he was a disaster. 😂😂😂

@@feynmanschwingere_mc2270 You just show, that you have no clue of the game. To be the GOAT in football you compete with Pele, Maradona, Messi. All of those players were better in their teens than Mbappe is now. He already lost the competition to be the goat. Statistics don't matter in this competition, so CR7 was also never near being the GOAT, even though many clueless kids believe that. Mbappe didn't carry Messi, it was directly the opposite. Messi is an offensive midflielder and most of his assists went to Mbappe, so he literally made Mbappe score goals. I like Mbappe, he is a great player, but he is still nowhere near Messi and he will never be. He already lost it. Watch Messi in the age of 10 and you will know

Mbappe made Messi look viable feeding him time after time, Messi has no legs to compete without a star player taking attention off him hence why he's gone to the MLS. "To be the GOAT in football you compete with Pele, Maradona, Messi. All of those players were better in their teens than Mbappe is now." is a ridiculous statement. I watched Maradona as a kid and he was NOT consistent, he had a handful of years of dominance similar to Ronaldinho. People see a world cup winning year and assume he played that way for 10+ years, no he didn't. There is no point in tarnishing the image of a player by making up facts you know nothing about.

@@feynmanschwingere_mc2270 As much as I love Mbappe this opinion is wide off the mark. Messi was not carried by legends, it's the other way around my friend. Coming into a new environment in your 30's is different than playing at your physical prime. This post seems way too biased and emotional, Messi at his prime was unstoppable in more ways than one and was more clinical than Mbappe.
