The PL is overrun with small clubs having 20,000 supporters like Southampton, Bournemouth, Ipswich, Brentford, etc. These clubs are boring to watch, bring nothing to the PL and give credendce to the argument for a Super League with elite clubs that fans want to see.

It's the small clubs that make the big clubs big. Having big teams playing each other on a regular basis, saturates the gravity of the match up. In a league structure, it's inevitable for some teams to rise to the top while others will settle closer to the bottom. Make a super league and within that structure some teams that are considered big now, will be small within that structure.
