Like "do not walk home alone" because they were scared and they said there were kids that never came home after doing that. "Do not take your brothers stuff" because I would not want him to take my stuff. The rules had a purpose and I was free if I wanted to accept them or not. But they made sense and were fair so I followed these rules. I never misbehaved. They also prioritized me having empathy and prefered me doing things wrong but in their sight then doing it in secret
