This is my favorite Kylie song!!! It is an absolute anthem that combines addictive beats (Stock Aitken Waterman-era Kylie is pure ear candy) with a surprisingly bleak message about codependency and forgiveness. You must watch a medley Kylie performed on a holiday episode of Top of the Pops (circa 2004). She incorporated some of her most classic songs, including BTDYK. It was absolutely magical.

It’s a crime that this wasn’t a hit in the U.S back in 1990!! She had a raw deal when it comes to the U.S. the woman is a global legend!!!

This was Kylie’s first sexual awakening, when she was going out with Michael from INXS. It was when she started to have some sort of control in what she released and how she was viewed. This tune helped me pass all my GCSEs. I danced to it every morning before I went off to school for the exams to cheer me up and chill me out. Thank you Kylie!! Try Step Back in Time next, I think it was the next single after Better the Devil you know, and is also totally BOSS

This was the first new material Kylie made in early 1990 after her relationship with Micheal Hutchence, he advised her to take more control of her image and music.and it shows, awesome song.

She’s wearing an ‘M’ ring (I think Michael Hutchence gave it to her)which she tries to get in shot as often as possible to show off their relationship in a subtle way.

With this video Kylie (successfully) tried to get rid of her girl next door image. And it was this song and video that catapulted Kylie into gay royalty. To this day it has a special place in a lot of Kylie's gay fans' hearts.

I will NEVER forget the first time I seen this video. I was staying the weekend at my grans house and it was a saturday morning. I was out with my friends and my gran came out and said Kylie's new video is coming on. I dropped everything and ran into the house. My gran was laughing at me because I was literally glued to the TV. It was AMAZING. Afterwards I went out to my friends and said ... OMG Kylie got sexy 😱 Rhythm Of Love became my all-time favorite album because of this track and video. Love your Kylie reactions 😍 Kylie is my Goddess 💖 Awesome video 🙏 👍

Typical "Stock Aitken and Waterman sound". They were a hit factory back in that time. Produced so many artists. 💕
@criswadsworth2 жыл бұрын
This was atypical of Stock Aitken and Waterman’s sound. It’s why it has aged so well compared to the rest of the music they produced in 1990. Look at how bad Jason Donovan’s songs were in that year. Kylie got their best effort and they evolved with her. Rhythm of Love is a great album, all 4 singles have aged well. The rest of SAW’s, not so much.

It makes me happy to see someone enjoying this song. It's a HUGE fan favourite and certainly one of mine from her PWL/SAW days.
