I love this Christmas album and was actually glad it was classic sounding. New Christmas can sometimes go wrong in being too current or substandard. Very few become standards. The good news here is that her new songs work really well and are strong. Every Day’s Like Christmas, White December and Christmas Isn’t Christmas ‘Til You Get Here all have a timeless quality. I hear them out shopping all the time, which is fun. Beyond the standard album, you get even more worthy Kylie Christmas entries.

The Sinatra track is audio pulled from an old TV performance. They needed to do some re-recording of the instrumental to get it stereo balanced and manipulate the fresh audio to fit, then add Kylie’s vocals on top of that.

Kylies version of Christmas Lights is everything. At Christmas is deserving of much more as well... Overall a strong effort these 2 albums including SNOW QUEEN edition

Most Kylie fans hate this album but I just ❤️ it so much. Everydays like Christmas was the single from the album, the remix is soooo good, it was done by PWL. Christmas isn’t Christmas til you get here should have been a single too, I love it.

⁠@@davidlynton9930glad you like it , but it’s a bit of a stretch to say it’s a fact that most fans don’t like it , one of the appealing things about the Christmas album is the rawness of the vocals, same with the Abbey road sessions, vocal production is too often a barrier when it comes to fully connecting with a song

Glad we both feel the same about 'Every day's like Christmas' . It's great production and beautiful emotional melody! I was hoping it will become her Xmas anthem... Also - using your bf in music video is not a good idea- I hope she learn her lesson.

I did hear your reasoning about the standard version at the beginning (and about people piping on at the end.. and I'm so very sorry to be that person..😂) but this album is one of those times when its not ideal. I just do not like the standard version, it's so meh and vanilla. The deluxe or the snow queen edition, have a lot more original songs which really are the best songs on this collection. 100 degrees, oh Santa and Tt Christmas are great songs. I really wish a few of the more generic songs on the standard version were replaced by the original songs. Great review as always 💙

Kylie’s Christmas album is the only Christmas album I can stand. It now IS Christmas for me. 100 Degrees on the extended version is definitely an Aussie Xmas tune
