I wouldn't compare Kylie with Maxine. Kylie is perfect for MI. She is really pretty. She has the ideal face of MI. Maxine is sophisticated and has a stronger presence onstage which is ideal for MU. In Binibining Pilipinas, Maxine outperformed Kylie in my opinion. Maxine performed really well in MU let's not forget that. Her swimsuit and evening gowns were top notched and she was really stunning. Is it her fault that she isn't articulate in English? When did English become a MU requirement? Venezuela has the most number of wins and yet none of their winners answered questions in English. Why is it embarrassing for a Philippine candidate to use an interpreter? Would it great when the universe could finally get to hear the Philippine national language which is called Filipino, by the way, not Tagalog! Tagalog is a dialect not a language and yet oh so many Pinoys keep saying Tagalog is their national language. My fellow Pinoys couldn't even get it right. No wonder they are ashamed of their own language as they aren't even sure what their language is. Next time don't complain if another half Caucasian who couldn't even speak Filipino gets to go to MU.

Tagalog is a language. The Philippines has a lot of languages. The Standardised Filipino Language is Tagalog. There are other Filipino languages such as Ilocano, Cebuano, Hiligaynon etc.. Dialect is a variation of a certain language, for example Cebuano, Davao Visaya, Cagayan Visaya are dialects of the Visayan Language.

@Jennifer Ramos Had Kylie won MUPH 2016, she would've faced an insane amount of pressure of trying to help the Philippines win back-to-back MU titles and helping the Philippines be the first country other than the United States and Puerto Rico to win Miss Universe on home soil. Kylie saved Philippine pageantry as a whole in 2016 by winning Miss International given the fact that a three-peat in Miss Earth was highly unlikely with Imelda Schweighart, the reasons I said about MU 2016 and Catriona Gray screwed out of the Miss World 2016 title. Kylie's MI 2016 crown helped the Philippines tie Venezuela for the longest Big Four major pageant title winning streak at four straight years which is now extended to six straight years when Karen Ibasco won Miss Earth 2017 and Catriona bouncing back from her MW 2016 heartbreak to win MU 2018.

Barrientos flopped in her closed door interview and was unplaced while Henry went from unplaced in Binibining Pilipinas 2008 to Miss Earth PH 2008 winner en route to the Philippines' first ever Miss Earth title. As for Bianca, she was picked over Sandra Seifert who was disqualified before Binibining Pilipinas 2009 coronation night. Seifert moved on to win MEP 2009 en route to her first runner-up finish in ME 2009 while Bianca was unplaced in MU 2009. You're a bandwagon fan who rides the coattails of Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray winning Miss Universe titles and not knowing PH pageantry as a whole.

Kylie Verzosa would've faced the double whammy of not helping the Philippines win back-to-back MU titles and also seeing the Philippines' Big Four major pageant title winning streak snapped at three consecutive years instead of six from 2013 to 2018 with eight in that span.
