My mum was a lifelong kylie fan. She went to so many of her concerts and our house was always full of her music and her concerts playing on the tv! She passed away on the 25th march at the age of 50. Just wanted to put this comment on here for her. She would have loved to hear this song. Edit: I really didn't expect so many kind comments, it's been a massively positive and healing thing to see people sending love and sharing stories. Thank you everyone 💞 I hope to see her live when she next tours and my mum will surely be there in spirit. ✨ Quick memory: we went to one of her concerts when I was around 10 and Kylies ear piece fell out and she turned and looked at me and mouthed 'ah it's fell out' or something like that and I swear it was one of my mum's proudest moments she was honestly screaming KYLIE JUST SPOKE TO YOU!! and told pretty much everyone 😅 we even spoke about it on the last day i saw her. Memories are so powerful. 🌈

SHE MAY REINVENT HERSELF BUT SHE ALWAYS STILL SOUNDS LIKE KYLIE AND DOES GREAT STUFF THAT IS STILL TRUE TO HER. MANY ARTISTS TRY THIS BUT FAIL MISERABLY. Songwriters make bank and they know what they are signing up for. Many of them cannot sing well and/or don't have star appeal. What's wrong with them being in the background and making a good living doing it?
@Droorogers Жыл бұрын
@@ashtrix Kylie doesn't take songwriting credit that isn't deserved. She gives full and proper credit to the songwriters in her liner notes, including this one. Unlike Madonna, who will rewrite a lyric or two and take first writing credit, she will let the songwriting royalties and credits go to those who actually did. She did the same for "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and "Spinning Around" amongst many others. I'm sure Kylie would be among the first to acknowledge that Ina Wroldsen and Peter Rycroft wrote an absolutely banging song that is bringing her so much success. That said, it's so "on-brand" for Kylie to take a song that is this objectively strange and pick it as her lead single, and also ride it to new charting success. So credit does have to go to her for delivering a song that is really connecting with the public even if she didn't write it (and doesn't claim to)
