That’s the difference though. He’s trying to be someone when he’s his own person who hasn’t been broken/trained the same. He knows he’s too emotional-feeling to truly match Vader in most aspects, trying to remain calm but faltering-Vader broke and lost his humanity and was calm and cold all the time but Ben struggles with disassociating himself from people and emotions. Though he’s been told the dark side requires an excessive amount of dedication, he was interested in what it would allow him to do and must have thought ‘I’m using the Dark Side, I’m bad now, I go join bad people now and try to lead by fitting in’. It’s kind of neat.
