He is adding the shim to compress the torque spring another mm or 2. This makes it stiffer and allows the scooter to maintain it's RPM's in the powerband while going up-hill. Basically, it helps the CVT downshift. I changed my first torque spring after watching this!

@igottascoot it doesnt assist downshift, only changing ramp angle on torque driver does that, the shim will have same effect as lighter weights but gripping belt tighter. he will be doing this because the next stiffer spring must be to stiff.

can you use a 2000 torq spring along with 2000 clutch springs together for more climbing power

I have a 09 kymco super 9 and I'm going to replace the water pump once again it only seems to go at high speed any ideas for why the water pump goes
