I wouldn't last two seconds, not that I'd ever try. You get to see your husband/boyfriend maybe 2 months in the year. They're always in a different time zone, so in order to talk to them long distance, you may need to be up at 3am. Likely they will never be there for any important date in your life, be it an anniversary, birthday, graduation, etc. You have to live somewhere convenient for them. Going to the track to hang out probably means walking in and walking out together and maybe sharing a lunch. Social media is nightmare fuel for any relationship in the spotlight. You can't really demand their time, because you know what it is before you start dating them---that they don't have time, so, nah, kudos to these women. Massive respect.

There would be such pressure on these relationships which would be overwhelming, especially as many of the girlfriends are still quite young. There would be that desire to spend time with their loved one which could come at a cost of their own career. It would be interesting to know if teams provide support to all of their team members (mechanics, engineers - not just drivers) as they all have to spend long periods of time away from loved ones and all experience the pressure to perform albeit at different levels

For me, I couldn’t see myself dating anyone during my career. I feel, next to buying a home, a relationship is the biggest investment you’ll ever make. It takes time, patience and understanding(on both sides) to maintain one. It would be too much of a distraction and that could prove costly while also trying to maintain optimum performance in a sport that demands intense FOCUS.

I would say it is a struggle. Everyone knows you're rich, famous and one of the 20 F1 drivers in the world. You never know what woman is actually genuine, and what woman will destroy you. Private life has a lot of benefits.

Definately does. I'm way too old for the vast majority of these guys, but even if the opportunity were to arise I doubt I'd want to be in a relationship with an international celebrity. I value my anonymous quiet life way too much. Sure yatches and penthouses in Monaco sounds sweet, but having fans at your doorbell and girls throwing themselves at your man definately doesn't.

Yep, Alex also attends her golfing events much like how she shows up for his races. Funny story, I started following Lily on Instagram and a while later, learned of Alex in F1. This was before they both got together. Then later I found out they were both dating with Alex sliding into Lily's dm and it was such a good thing because they're both such wholesome and lovable people! I'm glad to learn too that the paddock is so accepting of Lily and that's lovely
