Hi i’ve recently had a nitro rc engine blown and was looking for your help of finding which engine i should be looking for. i’m currently looking for something with lots of power and for an affordable price. My nitro rc car is a kyosho Pureten GP Spider Mk2. I’m really looking forward to what you say and getting my nitro running again. Thank you

as an entry level racer for the track these are brilliant bits of kit. very light and agile from the box. however for the same reasons they don't make great weekend bashers - bit fragile and expensive parts. If you must go Inferno as a basher go TKI4 as these are strong.

My friend has just bought one of these and I can't wait to go spank it with my Hobao Hyper 7. Had some upgrades over the years but still the old Hyper 21 8 port engine (orgional round heat spreader) Jammin jp4 exhaust - Reds Racing Tetra v3.0 flywheel 4 shoe clutch - front/center/rear spider diffs - loads of carbon and alloy parts - stock shocks (prefer them)

I had the screws back out of the engine, might explain the spur gear getting stripped, because i've broken all sorts on mine but not the spur. in just over a litre through the engine, I have broken, The wing, upper portion split, was only a very mild tumble as well Front left shock, eyelet snapped off and bent the shock tower too, again, not a bad crash really. not compared to what some of the youtube rigs put up with! A wheel, not sure how, was swapping them off for something a bit better wearing when I noticed the crack, must have been another rock! A big, immovable rock, caused the chassis to bend and twist, impact wasn't fast, about 10mph. Lost the screw holding the servo saver in and yesterday one of the clutch springs let go, snapped and jammed itself between the clutch bell and flywheel! Center diff is also too loose out of the box, inside front wheel when turning is prone to over speeding, my body is wrecked both sides where the tyres caught it. I love the way it looks though, so ill keep piling money into it, but I would have a hard time recommending this buggy to anyone. If you buy one, just be aware that they are quite fragile! Also for a 2 year old buggy, option parts are hard to come by. for some reason they've based this off the mp7.5 and that's an old buggy now, after market support just isn't there, all you're really going to find is replacement parts which will keep it going, but there's no way to upgrade yourself away from its inherent fragility, shame really. If anyone knows of anywhere that makes hop ups for the neo 3.0, give us a shout!
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment, mine held up pretty well apart from the spur gear which I've now swapped out for a steel upgrade

Without misunderstanding the plastic gears are for kids, just saying. I never use plastic plastic gears, is one of my worst enemies. The worst about plastic gears is that they are not made for bashing and when you bash them after some bashings get flat. Or if you run during jumps one after the other they get destroyed also. I have try it one time and never again.
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
yes they're not ideal for bashing. They do OK in on-road cars
@but5314 жыл бұрын
@@TheRCBiker i assume because is your first bashing you use the stock plastic gear just to don't sit and get dust with out use it and then you will put steel spur permanently.

Are these buggies expensive to run? Fuel etc...look a lot of fun.
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
A 5 litre bottle is about £30, which will give you approximately 40 tanks of fuel in this buggy. 40 Tanks gives you about 6 hours run time. So although it sounds quite a lot it does go quite a way

It’s a shame that gear stripped I’ve been saving for this car for a while but had to put all the money towards something else. Would you say it’s worth the money?
@maxrackstraw4 жыл бұрын
i own this buggy and so does one of my friends. The engine is decent but we find some parts are a bit fragile. Jumping the buggy usually causes the rear hub carriers to break (although they are a easy replacement and all pretty much all the parts are shared off of the inferno 7.5). Also i would recommend different tyres as the stock ones balloon too much and don't handle all that well. Pro-line badlands would be a decent option for tyres i have heard.
@taiteelsey21294 жыл бұрын
Max Rackstraw thankyou for the reply I’ve got a savage 25 which I love but i want something a little bit more nimble and mild stuff and have two cars so I don’t wear the one out as i get most enjoyment out of jumping etc would you say look for a different car ?
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
I would say it's worth the money but I do think you get more for your money with something like the Hyper 7, which, as standard (and for a cheaper price!) is a bit more durable. Love the build of Kyosho though :)
@maxrackstraw4 жыл бұрын
Rc madness With taite elsey Yes as TheRCBiker said the hobao hyper 7 is a great option or the HPI Trophy 3.5 is also very good (i also own one of those). Also it you heard that high pitched noise in the video that is the bodyshell catching on the front tyres during full steering lock, eventually this rips the front of the body apart...
@taiteelsey21294 жыл бұрын
TheRCBiker thankyou for all your help I’ll definitely look into the hyper 7 annoyingly was just almost there for saving then had to spend the money on fixing a bike 😂 once I get the money again tho I will definitely look would you say there’s better cars like truggy etc for the same sort of price ?

@@alex77e Then just go for Mugen, Team Associated or Xray : very strong and durable kits. The Kyosho MP10 seems strong too, but it's so much more expensive than the rest that's not convenient. Losi is on par with Kyosho in that sense.
