Kyosho USA-1 Nitro Crusher. 19 years old and still running. The engine is new (OS .21VG-X), everything else is original.

Hey there. I love the old kyosho trucks especially the usa 1 and it has to be nitro i have a kyosho nitro Thrasher but with the RS200 gearing and a blackfoot body shell i couldn’t find new wheels and tyres so i had to find something else that would fit and the mad van ones fit and look fantastic its more of a stadium truck now.

Yup. This original USA-1 Nitro Crusher has had ZERO mechanical problems in 22 years. Still running great.

Hi there that’s amazing no breakages in 22 years i just bought the vintage one last week it really looks like it hasn’t even done 1 litre of fuel no body shell it has the gs21r what engine is in yours is it the os or the gs.

Originally I had OS .21 RG-X. a few years ago, I replaced it with OS .21 VG-X. The VG didn't fit well, so I had to alter my suspension setup near the engine a bit.

This truck is now 21 years old and still works perfectly. I have never had a mechanical problem with it. I think the center differential helps to reduce pressure on the drivetrain alot. Anyway, I am sooo looking forward to the NEW USA-1 nitro coming out soon!

i have the same one i was wondering if there’s pull start on them cause mine i don’t have no clue how to turn it on there is not pull start any where on the car and was wondering if it’s electric start but i wouldn’t see how if you have an answer thank you.

The original USA-1 Nitro Crusher had what's called a "bump start" OS engine in it. I switched it out to a recoil start engine, but it's tricky to fit it in the truck. I first used a OS .21 RG-X engine, and that required some small modifications to make it fit. Now I use an OS .21 VG-X engine with a recoil start -- that required even more modifications to make it fit.
