Love the truck. I ordered my nitro version yesterday from Tower. Might even pull the trigger on the VE version just for bragging rights. I am so glad Kyosho and Tamiya are bringing back all the vintage kits, even if this newer version is different from the the original one, it still brings back nostalgia. I would like to see Tamiya bring back the Juggernaut.

Such an awesome RC!!! I absolutely love mine. The scale detail by Kyosho is top notch. It loves to wheelie on 4s. I haven’t ran it on anything other then 4s so far. My biggest issue out of the box was my wheel nuts. Even after retighten the wheel nuts they still came off then came the orange loctite. It popped off a couple of links on some bad crashes but I like that it popped off instead of breaking. Once I got the throttle control down… WOW what a blast!!! I can’t wait for the nitro version. Looking forward to your running videos 👊👊👍👍

Great unboxing video. The shocks are great on these, I have never had mine leak. I don't like the short springs that they come with. I have upgraded to the optional longer springs. This rig will vibrate apart if you don't Loktite everything that you can. Those wheel nuts will fly off on your first run, LocTite everything before running it, save yourself the headache. Check your fail-safe, mine from the factory was set to full throttle at radio signal lost...very bad obviously. Mad Force platforms don't like jumping, it looks even worse with the new 5 link ones with the arms that pop off. My Mad Force Kruiser VE has the old bolted on arms, but the shocks still pop off on even moderate height landings. If that wheelie bar is the same diameter as mine, it will accept 8mm roller skate bearings, so you can easily add larger roller skate or roller blade wheels to the bar. I used 8mm bearings as spacers on the bar to position the wheels. Never broken the wheelie bar, it is quite well made. I have had mine for 10 years now, have tore it down and rebuilt it twice in that period to replace warn driveshafts etc... You will love driving it, it is a blast, take it easy with the jumping, makes a great trail truck. The differentials are 1/8th sealed buggy ones, get rid of the grease and put in some decent oil and away you go. Very easy to get to the diffs on these, maintenance is so easy compared to an independent suspension rig. Enjoy your new ride!!

I am all for more Kyosho stuff, but this is just a brushless version of the Mad Crusher that came out years ago. Bigger tires and you could get it with a nitro engine. Still a cool truck either way.

That's awesome! I ran 2s and 3's in my foxx VE so I think you still may be able to with this USA 1, steering make sure if your steering gets kind of weak check the servo saver and tighten it up a little. I have to say the LMT always looked big and mean but next to the USA-1 the lmt looked kind of wimpy! LOL!! The USA -1 Looks sweet hope it works as good as it looks. This is one I would love to own even the nitro version I think would be cool with the 3 speed in it. Have fun running it.

Being metal axle ends is cool! But we all know thats not the part that breaks. It's the ears on the Ceehub that breaks. That's the part that needs to be metal. But at least one half is a little more durable 👍 can't wait to see the running video. As a teenager the was my first real introduction to a hobby grade. I moved back to Fl. And lived with my aunt for a little while. Her husband had the original and I used to see how many of the neighbors trash cans I could Other than my preteen with the Taymia vanquish and frog

I like the truck, but I don't see a good reason to pick this over the LMT unless you just gotta have that body. It shares nothing with the legendary model from the 90s, and in the US Kyosho parts support is spotty at best. Plus it will be illegal under most RC monster truck racing rules.

Is it just me? I thought the drive shafts look kinda wimpy? The rest looks really sweet! 👍 I like how they made it a possible dual motor! 👌
@lanceislateagain3 жыл бұрын
They're metal, they'll hold, they've done so since the original Mad Force trucks. The problem is that they aren't telescoping shafts. A hard landing can pop them right off. They won't break, but you'll have to pop off the lower links on the axle to put them back. I believe there's a telescoping driveshaft upgrade.
@rcwreck-creation3 жыл бұрын

@ed0c3 жыл бұрын
they can be setup 4 tire steering, (hence center servo horn)

It is, but I wouldn’t run 4 steering off one servo. I’d want independent control like the real trucks have.

So no 3-speed transmission for VE version. But you can make twin motor and twin esc as Kyosho showed at its official Japanese blog.

This one’s interesting. A lot of other solid axle trucks focus too much on being scale, vs this one which does not give a crap. Rc’s are always obnoxiously oversized when it comes to suspension and wheels, something this truck captures with solid axles that are wider that what the real one would be. The shocks also seem to be better for bashing vs some lateral ones

Should have went nitro is not a statement I agree with. They race them at the No Limit World Finals and they are a complete headache. The sound is awesome and the multiple gears...
