Kyoto Hidden Spots: One Of Japan's Three Best Scenic Views

Amanohashidate sandbar is an off the beaten path place you can visit when travelling to Kyoto.
Kyoto is one of the top destinations people travel to when coming to Japan, however with more and more tourists coming in each year and going to the same tourist spots, it's hard to enjoy Kyoto without having to be surrounded by crowds.
So, if you are like me and you want to enjoy travelling away from the big crowds then try going to Amanohashidate in the northern part of Kyoto.
There are trains and direct buses departing from Kyoto and Osaka and the best part is you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Japanese countryside.
www.amanohashidate.jp/lang/en_...
Places visited at Amanohashidate, Kyoto:
- Amanohashidate Station
- Chionji Temple
- Chirimendoya (Bike Rental)
- Cable Car and Chair Lift At Fuchu Station
- Kasamatsu Park
- Motoise Kono Shrine
Hope you enjoy the video!

Angela I was wondering if you can go swimming at the beach where you were biking? Thanks for showing awesome places to visit in Japan!

Yes, you can! It was still a bit cold when I went so you didn't see people on the beach, but in summer there are more people chilling by the beach too :) Let me pin your comment, since some others are wondering about this too!

On my recent trip to Kyoto, I re-visited some of the famous attractions I went to 4-5 years ago and realised how much it has changed due to the amount of people especially during spring! It’s still a beautiful city but it’s so hard to enjoy your time in peace. So, I decided to visit a lesser known area and show you more of what Kyoto has to offer. I hope you all enjoy it! P.s Where in Kyoto do you like? :)

Great video, Angela! I love this place too. I took a trip last summer there and stayed in Miyazu, nearby town south of Amanohashidate. Miyazu has quite a few temples and shrines too, and there is a boat that runs from Miyazu to Amanohashidate along with the frequent buses. Very tourist friendly and quiet. I stayed there for 4 days because it was just so relaxing! I also highly recommend going 1 hr north to Ine as well if you have the time.
