Sadly, I do not think this person is really understanding the full scope of what forsythe did. You’re completely focusing just on the balletic works which he started doing I think first at the Paris Opera and really has nothing to do with the work that he did for 20 years at ballet Frankfurt. You briefly mention, he was the bad boy ballet. At this point such an influence on the world most of BILL’s work was very theatrical not just for dance dance sake, theatrical not necessarily fairies dancing around and new ways of looking at theatrics. His masterpiece called. Artifact. which was created in 1983 or four I believe has Dance and pushes the lines of ballet, but it also has three actors in it talking about how to look at ballet in a new way.. there are many great former dancers that worked for forsythe for years and years that live in the United States. But so often none of them are speaking at these conferences and other people that don’t really understand forsythe and they’re giving their input.
