You need to be updated. Suicide rate among school kids have actually dropped and it is because of activities like this. Where more kids could be involved in group activity. In 2018, the rate was at its lowest in years. Instead suicide rate is increasing in the states.

This is impressive, but most people don’t know that in Japan, high school clubs almost never have adult supervision. It’s the older students that teach the younger ones, and choose their music, uniforms, and performances.

Exactly. We have a “supervisor” but mostly they stay away and do their thing while the older students and club captain take care of everything.

@@HadirUntukAnda what’s that reply? I do a little assist help with one after school club here in Japan and I can’t believe it either, the school class time finishes and activities take place all through out the school. Once the ALT foreign teachers return after the Flu close downs I am no longer required, unfortunately. Opened my eyes, when I went to school it was a ghost town 20 minutes after bell rang.

Lol, it's just practice. Marines & Army teach you how to do that when doing DNC and such, haha. But it is pretty awesome to see how quickly they fall back into their spots. Can we just take a moment to think about how hard it is just to play a musical instrument. Add to that the vigorous physical movements, and in perfect sync and no music to read meaning they have to do all that by memory and add to all that the fact that these are still kids. I am stunned.

@@ClaudiaYunxia Well, I know it sounds stereotyping, but Asian parents still have the mindset of teaching children to be good at their subjects and activities. Basically, education is TOP priority. However, it's not as strict as in the olden days where children are forced to do whatever their parents asked to do. Even til this day there r still parents out there doing so. I'm Asian and I have Asian friends that have to be excel in educations. I do ask them if they r stress from the standard they need to achieve, but most of the like "nahhh." and said since in return they get to go out with friends free from the "tiger parents". Whereas for me I'm glad that my parents aren't as strict as theirs. xD
I can't even IMAGINE the breath control it would take to play a wind instrument like those girls with the sax while doing a cardiac dance routine. My mind is blown. Incredible.
