What a wonderful performance! Much more relaxed, playful and elegant than what we see today. No tail-swishing, no open mouth, the head not behind the vertical, no exaggerated aids, just PERFECT!

Much nicer than what we see today, nice natural paces, no crazy front legs, a decent rein length, quiet seat and hands....Much more harmonious than the Glock horses or whatever so-called "spectacular movers" are out there now. THIS is dressage!!

The one-handed piaffe, one of Kyra’s trademarks, just wow. Her horses are always so light, willing, and clearly well-trained, which unfortunately often isn’t the case these days...

I have seen this a hundreds of times, and it still is a thrill! Matti was all time best! And Kyra is marvelous, and has been a marvelous teacher for so many!

I can't help but notice how much the phenotype of dressage horses has changed. That being said, in my humble opinion, although the basis of riding is the same, the riding technique has necessarily evolved. The technique that prevailed during this period must adapt to the new type of horses produced by breeders.

At that point in time this was out of this world. Kyra is a fantastic rider. She would of course get róasted today by the armchair trolls that his mouth is not always relaxed and he swishes his tail. Don't think i have ever heard better freestyle music than this.

Still here, watching this all over again. And yes. I like this better, than all-picture perfect.-plastic types trying to "win" something. I just wish Matte had a nice rest of his life....
