I'm Kyrgyz, and I'm from Kyrgyzstan. As for me, my ancestry stayed in Kyrgyzstan under control of Russian Empire. That's why, now I live in Kyrgyzstan. I'm very surprized by this way of living. Probably it must be difficult to live in such conditions. Also, I would like to thank you for your great job there. Actually I've already seen some documental films on this, but I think I've got something new from your video. It was cognitive and interesting so much. Thank you one more time.

MatrixOfDynamism Certainly, we do. Nowadays Islamic faith is the primary religion in our country. But there was a time when we believed in Heaven as mongolian do. Unfortunatelly Islamic faith in country has started being more likely as tool of dirty political games.

Thank you for this video and for your kindness Jeff, you are a good man. What you did for these people means a lot amidst such poverty and hardship.

@Zardasht Spitama FYI; people in Turkey can relate linguistically and culturally with the people of Central Asia because that’s their origin. They migrated from Central Asia to Anatolia (Asia-Minor) some 1000 years ago. They share some vocabulary due to common cultural influences, but the languages are unrelated and very different. Interesting to know that the Modern Persian language’s origins is traced to Bactria. Bactria /ˈbæktriə/ (Bactrian: βαχλο, Bakhlo), or Bactriana, was an ancient region in Central Asia.

Thank you so very much dear Jeff Waalkes for making this video and sharing with us ... I am so happy to be able to watch first hand on how these people live in such a remote place plus they are so humble and seem really happy with their environment which they adapt to it with no issues eventhough it is indeed very harsh. Amazing bunch of human beings. And I do pity the poor horse who slipped and hurt himself - he must have been put to death which is not shown or else how can one administer medical aid on the poor horse as he must have twisted or even suffered broken bones with the fall ... God Bless you for really going all out to reach these people, study their daily lives & culture and to share with all of us who do not have the means nor opportunity to visit much as we want to ... I've always been interested in 3rd World Countries and how the people live and its culture. I've had opportunities to travel to Pakistan, Tibet (5x) and Kathmandu (5x) + can say places like Laos, Ladakh surrounds & some parts of India but have never been more fascinated with ppl from Pakistan & Tibet who are lovely, simple people and so rich in their culture.

Thank you very much for making this wonderful documentary about this wonderful people. I’m Hazara and I’m so please to see my fellow countryman and women. Afghanistan is a beautiful country with consists of different tribes but some ignorants cause chaos in the country and exclude others. I hope those ignorants will one day come to understanding and stop killing innocent people and let those who look or come from different tribes live free.

This language is not pure Kyrgyz that’s why. It’s a mix of Uzbek and Kyrgyz. They are Kyrgyz who migrated to the pamirs during time of kokand khanate when Uzbeks controlled Kyrgyzstan. Uzbek and Uyghur is easier for Turkish speakers to understand than Kyrgyz. If you listen to modern Kyrgyz music (which has more Russian and pure Kipchak words) it’s very difficult for Turkish speakers to understand.

Hello, Jeff! I just wanted to say how amazing it was of you to go there and help those people. I have to say you speak Kyrgyz language better than I do (even though Kyrgyz is my native language) , and so far, you've done much more for my people than any of the Kyrgyz people I know. You are a man with a big heart! :)

Choong Ching Teo they are Kyrgyz, and speak Kyrgyz language, duh! Both Kyrgyz and Uighur just like many other languages are Turkic family of languages, and are therefore, similar. However, since these Kyrgyz lived in isolation for so long, their dialect is a bit different from Kyrgyz that is spoken in Kyrgyzstan (I could still understand them, but their pronunciation differs from ours).

LDN LONDON How is that animal cruelty? The horse got hurt in a line of duty. Animal cruelty would be hurting it for no reason. If you ride a horse tomorrow and if it trips and falls, is that animal cruelty as well? No? There's your answer.
