Kyrgyzstan provided 111 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The results of the natural disaster that occurred in Afghanistan on October 7 of last year caused serious problems for the country's population. Therefore, Kyrgyzstan takes specific measures to provide real help.
75 tons of flour, 11 tons of sugar, 5 tons of water, oil, and 500 krowats, blankets, and 1 million soms of clothing and food from the International Civil Defense Organization traveled from Uzbekistan for 2 days. First of all, the extraordinary ministers of the two countries agreed in advance on the safe passage of the "aid convoy" from Uzbekistan.
The temporary representative of Kyrgyzstan, Daniyar Hololçiýow, met with Afghanistan at the Hayraton border crossing, arranged meetings with the provincial leaders up to the city of Hyrat, and accompanied the rescuers until they returned to their homeland.
The Kyrgyz rescuers, who traveled nearly 2,700 kilometers, distributed food, clothing and other items and provided medical assistance to the residents of Faizabad village, which is located near the city of Hyrat. A lot of help was given to local authorities.
From December 1st to December 9th, the Kyrgyz Republic successfully completed its work to help the victims of the earthquake in Afghanistan and returned to their homes. These days, Kamçýbek Taşiyew, Deputy Chairman of the Ministry of Defense, Chairman of the National Committee for the Protection of Kyrgyz Rescuers, supervised the safety of Kyrgyz rescuers.
Remember that on October 7 of last year, more than 2,000 people died, 10,000 people were injured and thousands of houses were destroyed due to a natural disaster in Hyrat Velayat, which is located near the border of Iran and Turkmenistan.
