I like the concept behind Kyuranger to be honest. The theme this year is constellations, and each ranger is based on one, same with the Kyutamas.

The reason Over-Time subs translates "Kajiki" as "Dorado" is because of the Rangers being constellation-themed.

Chameleon has a tongue that can be pulled out, and there's one more combined mode lights/sounds for the assembly into Kyuren-Oh where it lights up all 5 of them at once.

I think for the Power Rangers version should have Yellow be Polynesian and a navigator. Blue should be the long-lost son of Doggie Kruger. Green should be a spunky green haired pilot. Red should just be a guy who won a ticket to space from a year long unlucky streak. Black should be a Latino parapelegic athlete. Pink should be a French scientist from Meranoi and be a student of Kendrix from Lost Galaxy. Hector (Red), Taku (Yellow), Liz (Green), Fen (Blue), Miguel (Black), Jeanette (Pink).

The way by using the Zodiac-Animals (besides chameleon, wolf, bull -> can be referred as an ox in the Chinese Zodiac and swordfish) is something that has never been done in the whole Sentai-series (that i known). Mine birth constellation is Leo (Lion) but mine constellation of the Chinese Zodiac is PIG . :(

You know that the constellation Dorado is sometimes depicted as a swordfish, and as the theme of the sentai is constellation so Over-Time is correct. Also the pink is an eagle, as the Aquila constellation is an eagle, not a phoenix.

I have high hopes for this season of super sentai. I mean the zords look amazing. True, three of the five have been in zord form before with a fourth being an enemy in that one martial arts themed super sentai....but I love how they look. I hope the series avoids the same fate of the last ninja themed one, the cube animals, and the train themed super sentai.

No. There have been many series without Pink Rangers. Further, there is a Pink Ranger, this seriesstarts with Nine Kyurangers. She is Kyu Eight, and based ona Eagle, not Phoenix.

Eh, the toy market pretty much requires there to be some kind of gimmick these days. I can live with 'We got our powers from this shiny object, this similar shiny object for only 5.99 gives other powers!' so long as they don't get ridiculous with unveiling a new 'ultimate weapon' every episode, like some of the Power Rangers series lately; at the least, it's entertaining to see how they eventually realize they're obligated to put them all together in an Ultrazord-you have to give whoever worked out how to put all the different mecha together in, say, the RPM Ultrazord (sorry, didn't remember the Sentai name off the top of my head) some props. What bothers me is that they make cheap knockoffs when 'importing' them, at least based on what I've seen in Balt's reviews. It's too expensive to slightly alter some labels, let's design a cheaper toy?
