17:23 - "For how many years, did he say 1000 years?" No he actually said 1000 years a *minute*. She said to leave him on for Christmas, so if you take a Christmas break to be about 3 days, he was stuck in that cabin with that song for over 4 million years.

I definitely think it was an over reaction for the guy. He murdered a man, how does that deserve a million years of punishment? People have done much worse. The guy was good, his psyche was pushed to breaking point and he made a mistake. He was very clearly remorseful. The cops getting off on that thousand years a minute thing is more fucked up than the murder. It says more about their morals than his. In my opinion at least.
@scotthewitt2582 жыл бұрын
And, the trash he killed was just as worthless as the lying cheating daughter he raised. Some kills deserve a reward, not a punishment. Now. the little girl was totally innocent and did not deserve to die for mistakes adults made. So, yeah. Let him wear his "Trash Removal of the Year" medal while being punished for eternity for the little girl's death.

Enjoyed your bickering at the end, which I'll admit did make me laugh, I'm sorry! In terms of which hell I'd choose - if I HAD to. Definitely NOT the cabin & listening to the same song over and overandover again for MILLIONS of years. Just... no. I'd probably go for being blocked, if I HAD to pick. It would be horrible, but there'd be things I could do to stay intellectually stimulated. I could write, paint, play music, interact with animals - at least there'd be something to do, rather than just being a virtual slave trapped in an egg.

At worst for the murder of the old man he would've been charged with second-degree murder. However, it's far more likely that he'd be charged for third-degree murder (voluntary manslaughter) since it was a crime of passion and the girlfriend is truly to blame for the whole situation. For the girl he'd most likely be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Note that this is in Canada however and the show is in the UK I believe. Also I'm not a Lawyer but my dad was a cop.

The guy with the horrible, horrible girlfriend/wife would probably be found guilty of manslaughter or murder 2 (given how badly the grandfather and girlfriend/wife screwed him over. He snapped. The little girl would at most be negligent homicide or depraved indifference. We haven't seen what sentence the actual guy received. The thousand year/minute over Christmas was with the virtual clone. That was just a deputy district attorney playing with something he saw as just a computer thing. (Which - unless I'm wrong - figuring for 36 hours is 129, 600,000 years.) What's worse? Existing like that forever or being an enslaved, sentient Alexa for yourself? Probably the former. As far as Joh Hamm's character, probably he can interact with government officials. Unless it's a slow death sentence, there would have to be some form of halfway house where you lived on the government dole or worked some menial job and someone official you would need to check in with. This is a punishment that has no reason behind it and doesn't seem part of a society but rather just done for impact on the show. He wasn't a pedophile. he and his friends were just part of a group that helped guys on dates in real time.. Think of it as a future Cyrano.

"it's her body at the end" we can go in circles, i can say also that it's part of HIS body inside her , in his perspective, he put that child there . there are so many selfish women on this earth nowadays sometimes i'm ashamed to be a woman . just because a baby is in our belly doesn't give us the right to keep it hostage from the father , the father is the baby's creator just as much as the mother , it's 50/50 the woman is the carrier , that doesn't give her 100% rights on that baby . i hpe in the future there are better laws for this , too many fathers are separated from their kids because of this , single motherhood should not be a goal , it should stay a circumstance of life . baby is no pet but a human being who needs both parents

The legalities of this technology {and the technology used in "Crocodile"} raises a lot of questions. The idea that you can record a "Cookie" and then trick that Cookie into "confessing" when the person in question is exercising a Constitutional right to remain silent is "bothersome" at the very least. {I'll address some problems with "Crocodile" in that video, if y'all have done that video.}

I don't think women can properly understand the horror of the idea of not being able to see your own child and then after years of torment finally finding out that the child isn't even yours. That's not a criticism of women. There's plenty of stuff men can't understand about your experiences but I can totally relate to the guy in this episode and the punishment just seems unfair. 1000 years per real life minute with that annoying song on loop. Someone in another thread calculated it to be around 4 million years. As for the abortion stuff it's also hard for us guys having no say in whether our child lives or dies. The "my body my choice" argument is fundamentally flawed. It's not your body, the baby is a different person.
@SnaFubar_24 Жыл бұрын
100% agree with you on the my body my choice point you made. If that argument made sense there would be no difference between killing the baby unborn and killing it @ 2 yrs old. It came from my body so it's my choice to keep it or not. The whole idea is illogical and barbaric. It's some peoples solution to being irresponsible in their life choices and making another person pay for that irresponsibility. Surely men and women can find a moment to practice safe sex.

Why would you line up those figures in front of shot? It's like you're saying "LOOK! I'm stupid and I bought these, look how daft I am"... If only you could back in time. I just realised the video is 3 years old. Oh how silly you must feel. A year ago every idiot was trying to sell they're collection. Selling like 20 figures for £10. I bet you wish you could still get them prices as they're going for like £1 for 4 now-a-days. Just last week a girl on FB Marketplace was selling a collection of over 300 for £50. I offered her £20 quid and she accepted. But I never went to collect them, why would I? I'm not an idiot...
