Dr. Franklin is played by Clive Mantle, an English author and actor who portrayed Little John in the amazing 80s series 'Robin of Sherwood.'

And one of the inn's owners is played by Gordon Kennedy, who played Little John in the 2006 "Robin Hood" series. I wonder whether it was intentional.

Another great episode, another great Sherlock-esque reaction. Steven Moffat (producer/writer) and Mark Gatiss (producer/writer and as Mycroft) are an unstoppable duo! On a side note, I hope yens put American Gods in the rotation at some point.

Although in the books its said in "The Sign of Four" I think this would have been a great episode for the famous quote; "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?"

Great reaction, thank you! This episode is actually based on my favorite Holmes story - the Devil's Foot. So I figured out what it was and how it was delivered by the time Sherlock freaked out in the tavern.

Unrelated, but if you take recommendations I recommend the legend of vox machina, it's a (currently) two season animated show based on real game of dungeons and dragons.
