It is during such times where we realize the importance of farm insurances. It is scary how one day you have your farm operating and the next all is gone and you are left with debts. Wishing our farmers well. Hopefully the Ministry of Agriculture will pull through for them. Their contributions to the economy in terms of ensuring food security, employment and poverty reduction are quite crucial.

Im just glad that Mr Steunhuizen is minister of Agriculture, there might still be some hope. Our farmers are of vital importance for our food security.
