If an interrupt occurs while the CPU has been halted after executing the HALT instruction, the return address (in decimal) saved in the stack will be

1028 will be the answer, as the memory is BYTE ADDRESSABLE so Instruction size of 1=4 Byte (32 bit = 4Byte). So 1st Instruction will take 2*4 bytes, 2nd will take 1*4 bytes, so on...and the total bytes of instructions will be "28" and our initial Address was 1000 so the new address will become "1028". Hope it helps :)
