This was always one of my favorite arcade games, right up there with Crisis Zone. Watching the enemies get knocked around by your fire, seeing them take visible damage- there was such a visceral satisfaction to that.

This game was ridiculously EPIC Not only was the gameplay such an epic fast paced visual effect that tested your vertigo but, if you ever saw the arcade machine itself, you knew you were in for a fun play~ Two model jet ski's that swayed with the direction you were moving, a model uzi guncon mounted at the front that had kickback to let you feel the rapid fire. Needless to say, you couldn't exactly dual wield 1st & 2nd player gun controllers because of the machine's structure but, this was one of those games with so much to offer from its machine that, you could get an enjoyable kick out of playing it in 1 player.

Dude I loved this game, if only because of the giant yellow machine guns that vibrated when you fired on screen. It was also super satisfying to shoot things. I think a new game for the Switch would be really cool to make.
@Outta_sights6 жыл бұрын
Why the switch?
@vjm36 жыл бұрын
You can use the nunchucks to aim, and the built in rumble feature can mimic shots. Plus if done similarly to this, it'd be kinda cartoonish and light-hearted, which would compliment Nintendo very well.

For sure, the haptics really make this series stand out. I have one of the LA Machineguns rumble guns sitting in my room. Not sure if the motor works nor what to do with it but was thinking of one day building some sort of VR project with it.

This and Gunblade are still awesome today. What's unique about them from other on-rails shooters is that your gunship *moves dynamically*. It will swerve around to get better firing angles and actually tries to dodge enemy missiles on it's own, you know, like a pilot is trained to do instead of hover in place like an idiot. You can't always dodge everything and you'll need to shoot some missiles down, but it actually feels like you're in a ship that's tactically flying around and making the most of it's aerial superiority instead of a floating box that only moves to a preset point and can't dodge anything.
