In 2015 I moved to Massachusetts. Before that I used to live in Inglewood and grew up in Westchester. For years my sister and I used to go down to the marina every summer and ride the water taxis and go eat at the Cheesecake Factory. Thank you for bringing back such wonderful Carefree memories. I Lived in MDR for 12 years and had to leave because it became too expensive but I really miss it a lot Such a special place to live! My place was mariners village and I feel blessed I had the luck to enjoy fir these years

Hi Michael, Thank you so much for making this video. I’m sitting here at my home here in Texas with my 4 German Shepherd’s. watching this beautiful video and the scenery. I love the water. I grew up on the Jersey shore and when I was in the Air Force, I was on or should I say the close to the San Francisco Bay at TRAVIS Air Force Base and spent a lot of time in Florida very close to the ocean, I guess that’s why I was born an Aquarius the water sign anyway I love your videos. Ahhhh! Memories. In the early 80's when I was a kid my grandmother would bring me here to fish. Back then they had a fishing area, a floating pad thing off the path that charged $2.00. I spent many days there.

Thanks for the video! So nostalgic for me. Back in the 1980s my dad kept one of his yachts there, a Gulf Star 50, docked in a slip next to Stallone's. Nice and clean marina. There was also a fried chicken place that was excellent.

Used to work near Marina Del Rey and visited the location monthly. Took my family there a few times but only rode the boat ride once. The boat feel like it was going to flip over so the kids never wanted to ride it again. Did road a big yacht there back in 2007 for a company party and it is amazing. I really love the place and it is very relaxing.

@@Ay-B if you go out on a charter they let you buy a low cost one-day fishing license. If you don't already have a regular full year license. The last time I checked a full year license for both fresh and salt water fishing was rather expensive.

Mein Vaters "kleine" Yacht lag früher im CYC Krefeld-Uerdinger Yacht-Club (Crefeld noch mit "C"!). Sein Berufs-Schiff (Bibo2 (die Helene) liegt heute im Innenhof des Duisburg-Ruhrorter Binnenschifffahrts-Museum, und mein Vater liegt heute leider auf dem Friedhof.
