This is a certified classic, one of the very first games I played when I got my own computer. The simple graphics paired with the morbid story always intrigued me because your mind will fill in the blanks of what the visuals are too simple to convey so all kinds of disturbing stuff is gonna get conjured up in your brain. This approach should be used more often.

Yes, morbid. As in _characterized by an unusual interest in disturbing and unpleasant subjects, especially death and disease._ Have you followed the game's story up to the end? If so, pray tell, how isn't the adjective befitting, according to you? Unless you only know it as a travel companion of the noun _obesity,_ in which case methinks thee might not be as cultured as the nickname purposefully implies...

@@MiguelGarcia-hg3ht I've just discovered that there is a crusader gameplay section by watching this video. I assume this is because the game was played in Hard mode. In Normal mode, the crusaders enter right after the monk reads that red scroll.

Back when games had more leeway to express themselves according to what the authors wanted to convey. I enjoyed the theme, although the game itself could see some improvements (starting with length)

From what I understand, it was created in like 2 weeks by Locomalito when he traveled to France. It was short first because of that and then because it was made as a tribute to the old ZX Spectrum games, which weren't big. But I agree that I'd like to see an expanded version of it. I know there's an Amiga port that was finished recently that has two campaigns: this one and an "alternative" version where you get to play as Joan instead of Jean, and the level design is completely different, though also as short.
