A busy day for the crew meant no Gravel Lake for me! Still hoping for this coming week. The color is coming on and there are so many places to catch the train! Wish it came everyday!

Thank you, Nancy, for capturing the L'Anse Local on 24 September 2024! I enjoyed watching the L'Anse Local bringing cars in and out of the L'Anse rail yard. The portion of the video with the Local passing through the rock cut was a bonus. (Posted 28 September 2024 at 1423 CD.)

I’m happy that CN still runs those old SD60s to this day, especially some SD40T-2s. Greetings from Tennessee.

it's been a while since a heart attack and 3 strokes on the left side and another this past weekend. Now, I'm on the mend I hope. Yes, I have a slight deficit on the left hand side of my body. Here's wishing you are well, other than admitting you are getting older, as we all are. As for me, I'm a septuagenarian pushing hard on octogenarian.

While the weather is still decent the tie gangs are still in full swing plus depending upon how far these travel they can also get backlogged The outbound with 37 cars total was one of the highest in a long time and it was interesting to have the Celotex cars stuck in between rather than at one end. I'm glad you caught the photo of the conductor hanging on to the gondola as it went over the bridge. I'm not overly keen on height so it would be hug the car and stare at the bottom of the gondola. The inbound 29 were no slouch. Watching the channel from De Pere it was fun to see 17 including a solid 13 car cut of the tie cars roll by. Also that lead covered Hopper with the spray painted numbers stood out in one of those trains and I just said it's headed for Llanse and it didn't disappoint. Glad you had a nice weather day to capture this kind of action and of course as always hello to the Chicago Central pink hopper

What channel do you watch from Depere?
@paulbergen9114Күн бұрын
@@nancyhaun with the name it doesn't sound like a railroad Channel but it's Mallard Duck. It's pretty straightforward catching CN trains near his house ranging from the locals to the through freights potash extras Etc. It gives a good pulse on the mill at Kaukauna and the Freight in and out of Green Bay. Forgot to mention special thanks for the picture of the Ford Shay especially with the fancy wheel covers

Where does this train originate?
@nancyhaunКүн бұрын
From Euclid yard in Ishpeming in Michigan's Upper Peninsula!

Ok, so how do all those tires end up in ishpeming?
@nancyhaun21 сағат бұрын
@@patrickchouinard3702 the ties come from where ever they are doing a job that requires new ties. Killerbee explained where they come from on a video recently.

I understand that, but are they shipped there by rail? I couldn't find a connection to Escanaba or iron mountain or anywhere? My maps are kinda sketchy.
