It's so unfair wage difference between artists some get so much more than others depends on their popularity some of them have to get 2nd jobs just to make ends meet
I've heard numerous grievances about TVB mistreating its veteran staff, many of whom dedicated years to their careers, aiming for better roles or a stable livelihood. Several have shared their discontent on platforms like KZbin. Reflecting on this, I am reminded of the saying '花没有百日红' (Flowers do not bloom forever). Change is the only constant in life. Just look at our beloved old Hong Kong actors and actresses; many have left us. In the 50s and 60s, we cherished both Mandarin and Cantonese movies, but they yielded to television. Similarly, television itself may one day yield to new forms of entertainment. The departures of influential figures like Shaw Brothers and Mona Fong, once pillars of TVB, remind us of the fleeting nature of power and fame-now reduced to ashes. Let us hope for fair treatment and lasting legacies in the evolving landscape of entertainment.
