Small clarification: Later releases of L-Drago Destroy (Legend set, Sonokong, Hasbro) had the same reinforced F:S that the midfake has. I think it arguably has better LAD too, though the sharp tip's still too small for its own good.

Things like the rubber on the midfake is what the originals needed. Gimmicks that actually sticks out a bit past the metal so they can be effected otherwise most and many of them are just for looks.

Love the comparisons between the authentic TT and their midfakes, very thorough. Although i’d have to say, in terms of performance, both are quite similar. Also visually it may be difficult to tell whether which is which, unless you could tell by the cores, or their 4D bottoms. Rubber on the TT core is way more vibrant and saturated than the midfake core. Originally TT’s F:S was marked as Mold 1, later on it was reinforced with the bottom all rounded. This was probably mostly due to breakage. Mold 2 was later carried by Sonokong and Hasbro. The exact mold the midfake F:S has. Honestly it’s a fine replica

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING THE METAL WHEEL: So apparently from what I can tell based on the sonokong L-Drago Destroy and TT one I have. The actual metal wheel is slightly SMALLER in circumference. So if you put Sonokong Metal Wheel on Takara PC Core. The rubber does stick out. I think the midfake was trying to replicate Sonokong's version of L-Drago Destroy F:S. As for why, I do not know in all honesty. It just seems very odd.

My opinion on this video first release Takara Tomy Pros -It has better paint quality -Better Plastic quality -Better stickers -Has decent durability Cons -Needs a lot of effort to get this kind of destroy if new in box -even if buy it used, it might have some broke down parts and some things you might not feel satisfied -Very Expensive Midfake (A0813 Takara) -Cheap and not really needed much effort to buy -Accurate parts to their first releases -Has decent durability -better to buy than actual fakes Cons -A0813 batch is often called the defective batch so the rubber is sort of hit or miss(sometimes u get something close to rubber sometimes you just got plain plastic) -Parts are MID quality so that means not as great quality as their original counterparts -Stickers have low ass quality -Paint is not really that good so it chips very easily So overall the midfake is 8.8/10 Might change this since some people might complain lol

Everything I'm seeing about these midfake beyblades seems to indicate that they're using genuine moulds to make them. Since I just want to play with my tops and I'm not fussed about collecting, I don't really mind if it brings the price of the top down a bit, so long as the materials used are safe, and the performance is fine, but I do think sellers should clearly mark midfakes somehow.
