They did stretch it a bit, they did include areas under all twilight phases. I saw one comment where some doofus substituted "Sun" for "Daylight" then complained "Impossible".

Well, the sun does actually illuminate more than 50% of earths surface. The diameter of the sun being over 100 times larger than the diameter of earth is 1. Refraction is 2. This is the reason why on the day of the equinoxes there is slightly over 12 hrs of daylight.

Only by dimming the video's contrast setting can the demo be less than laughable. The camera's point of view is never placed at the table's edge for that would show that the flashlight's (sun's) light would be visible everywhere all the time. And that contrivance passes without critical review for "proof" of a flat earth. Geez, I've seen grade-school experiments with more logical controls than these flattards ever muster.

@@space_audits OK, I've just watched the "It's really simple.." video - and it just shows all the same "this doesn't actually work" stuff: the solstice mini-maps show the sunlight area as very distorted circles with "flat" sides. How does that work? When Terry moves his flashlight over the main map, the light cast is CIRCULAR, not like a letter D. How do you not see that the AE map doesn't represent what we actually SEE? What causes the Sun to spiral around, changing its speed (as it must) from when it's above the Tropic of Cancer to when it's above the Tropic of Capricorn? If the Sun is close, why does it NEVER change its angular size throughout the day or the year? "Where we go from here" is for you to, at the very least, acknowledge that the AE map/close Sun etc doesn't fit with what we actually SEE. That, at least, is an absolute minimum, no?
